Prior to joining MSC, Timmy harbored an intense fascination with sailboats and sailing, which he indulged by insatiably consuming videos and books on the subject - but he’d never sailed before. Four years later, Timmy is embarking on the adventure of a lifetime - sailing the world with his wife Ari Davalos and their Chihuahua Papi on a boat of their own.
Having grown up with power boats in Massachusetts, Koren spent a lot of her life around boats and on the water – but had never been on a sailboat until only a few years ago.

Better late than never! Don has always loved being in, on, and under water. He first became interested in sailing decades ago, but kept putting it off. With the support and encouragement of his family, Don finally began learning to sail in the spring of 2021 and now enjoys sailing frequently with his new friends at Modern Sailing.

Modern Sailing recently graduated club members from our Club Skipper Clinic. Please welcome two of our newest Club Skippers - Eric Partika and Paul Aichholzer!
Robert Bao has always enjoyed being out on the water, beginning with kayaks and canoes and progressing to small sailboats. Recently, Robert became qualified to charter boats in Modern Sailing's Platinum Fleet and is now dreaming bigger.
Every March at Modern Sailing School & Club, we take a moment to recognize members who have taken the helm and sailed the extra nautical mile during the previous year. Meet the recipients of our 2020 Top Charterer, Top Student, and Ambassador Awards!
With the 2021 Club Ambassador Award, the team at Modern Sailing recognize Jim Haussener for his outstanding contributions to the club in 2021 and years past. With this award, Jim will also receive a Modern Sailing logo jacket, hat, and club burgee.

Bob joined Modern Sailing in 2016 and quickly became a very active and contributing member. He is perhaps one of the best-known and most cherished members of the club. Bob became a Club Skipper in May of 2017 and has skippered countless Club Sails.
Julia Frink and Vincent Latour are the first couple to ever be nominated together for our annual Ambassador Award.
