"There is something nearly meditative to be on the ocean, in front of the grandiose element and view of water all around you," says MSC club member Yves Lermusiaux after 17 days of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.
"Sailing is everything. Being on the water, the accomplishment of setting the sails well, the freedom of movement without an engine… everything about sailing is perfect," says Jen Philips, former student and member of Modern Sailing.

Prior to joining MSC, Timmy harbored an intense fascination with sailboats and sailing, which he indulged by insatiably consuming videos and books on the subject - but he’d never sailed before. Four years later, Timmy is embarking on the adventure of a lifetime - sailing the world with his wife Ari Davalos and their Chihuahua Papi on a boat of their own.

Better late than never! Don has always loved being in, on, and under water. He first became interested in sailing decades ago, but kept putting it off. With the support and encouragement of his family, Don finally began learning to sail in the spring of 2021 and now enjoys sailing frequently with his new friends at Modern Sailing.
