CYC & MSC Partnership: Reciprocal Access and Sailing Opportunities

Modern Sailing School and Club is honored to announce a new partnership with Corinthian Yacht Club (CYC), a landmark institution gracing the shores of Racoon Strait in Tiburon since 1886. This collaboration unites two pillars of the San Francisco Bay sailing community, offering reciprocal benefits to members of both organizations. 

 
For Modern Sailing Members: 

  • Members looking to visit CYC: The historic Corinthian Yacht Club, a haven of camaraderie and refined hospitality, opens its doors for Modern Sailing members, arriving aboard a chartered vessel from the MSC fleet and presenting their designated reciprocal access pass.  Enjoy exclusive privileges, including access to CYC’s guest dock, and moorings. Indulge in a delectable lunch or dinner at the renowned clubhouse, or simply relax and savor the stunning views after a day on the water.  Whether you’re cruising, racing in the CYC Friday night series, or simply exploring the Bay, the Corinthian Yacht Club extends a warm welcome to Modern Sailing’s charter members.   • Members looking to join CYC: MSC members will receive 15% off CYC initiation fee

 

For Corinthian Yacht Club Members:
Enhance your sailing experience with Modern Sailing’s exceptional programs and fleet. In partnership with Modern, CYC will offer some ASA courses directly from the CYC docks. Modern Sailing will also deliver boats to the CYC dock for Club Sails skippered by MSC members as another way for CYC members to enjoy MSC sailing activities. 

  • CYC members will receive a 50% discount off MSC Membership initiation fee
  • CYC members will receive a 10% discount off non-member rates for all Modern Sailing School offerings at MSC Sausalito and MSC Berkeley

In announcing the partnership, Leigh Hunt, MSC CEO and Owner said “We are very excited to have this partnership with Corinthian Yacht Club.  There are so many mutual benefits.  From ASA courses for Corinthian Yacht Club members, to becoming a sailing destination, and welcoming MSC members to CYC social events, I would love to see more of our respective communities become members of both organizations.”

We celebrated our Corinthian Yacht Club partnership with a special complimentary two-boat Club Sail on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Members joined Leigh Hunt and Keith Milne, MSC Partner and Yacht Club Ambassador, (who spearheaded this exciting collaboration), for this inaugural sail.
