Sea of Cortez 2019 | Modern Sailing

Sea of Cortez 2019

November 24 to December 4, 2019

Join Modern Sailing on an unforgettable adventure in the mystical Sea of Cortez this November 24 through December 4.  We will sail our very own Coho II, a 44' Spencer 1330 from Baja, Mexico. Onboard meals, beverages, and snacks are included!

Snorkel with sea lions and colorful fish, explore deserted islands, and sail over 200 nautical miles between La Paz and Cabo San Lucas. Stops along the way will include Espiritu Santo, Isla Islotes, Ensenada de los Muertos, and Los Frailes.  This will give us a wide sampling of what this part of the Gulf of California and Baja Peninsula have to offer in sea life, natural terrain, and cultural attractions. Leave the winter storms behind and head south for the spectacular warm and clear waters of Mexico!

The vessel was clean and in fine condition - very nice boat for training, well-equipped.

It has been wonderful sailing with MSC over the years. Please extend my thanks to the owners, management, and staff for unrequited professionalism and high standards in a charter fleet. I have sailed with several in my years and none nearly hold a candle to the quality of business and staff at Modern Sailing.

  • Danny Collins

The office staff was very accommodating in meeting my availability.

Thumbs up to (Club Skipper) Geoff (Love) and his wife Laura. I went on my first Club Sail on Sunday, January 18, 2026. They were terrific!

The Full Moon Sail with Skipper Bob Gutsgell was Ah-Mayzing!! The group dynamic was lovely and the views spectacular. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Thanks so much for the wonderful Club Sails, they are really great.
