Beneteau Oceanis 30.1
Polaris - Beneteau Oceanis 30.1

Polaris is a Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 in our Sausalito Silver Plus Fleet. With a striking, modern profile featuring a hard-chine hull and slender bow, Polaris is designed for agile handling and spirited performance on all points of sail. Her twin rudders provide exceptional control and a responsive helm feel, making her a delight to sail short-handed or with a full crew. She features a convenient in-mast furling mainsail and a dedicated helm pedestal. This setup allows you to easily set, reef, and put away the sail from the safety of the cockpit, while the pedestal offers an additional secure platform for adjustments near the mast—a significant advantage when managing the Bay's notoriously shifty breezes. A spacious cockpit accommodates up to 6 sailors comfortably on day sails.

Below deck, headroom is 6.5 feet in all areas where it is possible to stand. To port at the base of the companionway, an L-shaped galley offers storage, a 20 US gallon refrigerator, and a two-burner stove and oven. The large head is divided into a marine toilet on one side and a shower and washbasin on the other. Open entryways and lengthwise berths give Polaris's two double cabins a spacious feel. The cabins can comfortably sleep 4 overnight and the benches in the salon provide extra sleeping space for 2 more.

Recognized by Cruising World and Sail Magazine as Best Boat of the Year, the Oceanis 30.1 balances comfort, style, and performance. Charter Polaris for an unforgettable day or multi-day adventure. Discover firsthand why this boat is a game-changer for our Silver Fleet rated members cruising the San Francisco Bay!

I would definitely recommend Modern Sailing to anyone who is interested in learning to sail the right way.

The class was terrific. I know you must get many compliments about your sailing instructors...But I must tell you that Robert is outstanding. Having taught SCUBA, I really appreciate the way he is so sensitive to all on board, dealing with each so well, knowing quickly their strengths and weaknesses making each feel special and cared for.

Thumbs up to (Club Skipper) Geoff (Love) and his wife Laura. I went on my first Club Sail on Sunday, January 18, 2026. They were terrific!

The Full Moon Sail with Skipper Bob Gutsgell was Ah-Mayzing!! The group dynamic was lovely and the views spectacular. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Thanks so much for the wonderful Club Sails, they are really great.

We just took our ASA 106 at a school in Rhode Island as we prepare for 6 months of cruising in the Caribbean. The class was great, but more than anything it made us really appreciate the quality of teaching and rigor at Modern Sailing. Even though we were the newest to sailing, the group seemed to think that we had the best fundamentals. We felt very well prepared and we see why Modern Sailing has the reputation it does.
