With 25 knots of wind on a regular basis, strong currents, and heavy shipping traffic, San Francisco Bay offers one of the most challenging training venues anywhere, giving you the experience and skills you’ll need to enjoy sailing in a variety conditions with confidence. The ASA 101 course provides the skills you'll need to enjoy active participation as crew in the operation of a sailboat. Your 4 days of hands-on training will be under the guidance of a US Coast Guard-licensed ASA instructor sailing our Silver Fleet vessels (30 to 32 feet). Upon successful completion of this course, you're well on your way to becoming a skipper.
