Ready to start doing long distance cruises on the coast? Our ASA 106, Advanced Coastal Cruising course will give you the skills and confidence you need for success. If you've already taken ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising, you are ready to take your sailing skills to an advanced level.
Depending on weather and sea state, this course takes you beyond the Golden Gate to Drakes Bay and the Farallon Islands, then down to Half Moon Bay and back within 4 days. Taught aboard Coho II, our Spencer 44 bluewater cruiser, the curriculum includes ocean night sailing and navigation, anchoring, boat systems, developing float plans, and an introduction to electronic navigation, including radar.
Boat systems and troubleshooting are also covered, with an emphasis on the problem-solving skills that are essential to successful and self-sufficient coastal cruising.
There are three ways to sign up for this course - by phone (415) 331 - 8250, email, or by clicking the link below.
