Beneteau Oceanis 38.1

Liberty is a 2018 Beneteau Oceanis 38.1, featuring dual helms and rudders, an in-mast furling mainsail, and a roller-furling jib. She also features a dodger and bimini, allowing sailors to enjoy some protection from the elements.

The design extends length and waterline to maximize both living space below deck and stability under sail. With modern interior styling, three cabins, outfitted L-shaped galley, and head with a shower, Liberty makes a luxurious overnighter for up to 8 guests. With a manual drop-down swim deck and large cockpit ideal for entertaining, her day comfort rating is also 8 people.

The meeting room was quite adequate and the location most convenient, but the course outline and instruction were outstanding. Modern Sailing is fortunate to have such a well organized instructor in Mr. Stan Lander who teaches very well from a rich professional background.
