Sail the Society Islands from Tahiti to Bora Bora on the Modern Sailing Global Destinations Flotilla August 21 - 31, 2026
Hot on the heels of our sold-out Thailand adventure, your next chance to join a Modern Sailing flotilla is here!
Trade the mundane for the magical. Next August 21 - 31, 2026 a fresh chapter of extraordinary sailing awaits as Modern Sailing returns to the Society Islands of Tahiti. Imagine setting your course not from an airport gate, but from the deck of a sleek catamaran, where the horizon is your only limit and the Pacific breeze is your guide.

SAIL TAHITI 2026 INFORMATION SESSION:

This 10-day, catamaran flotilla begins in the Leeward Islands, charting a course from the cultural heart of Polynesia, Uturoa, Raiatea, to the legendary turquoise lagoons of Bora Bora. You’ll navigate the same reef-sheltered waters that cradle the twin islands of Raiatea and Taha’a, glide past the lush, archaeological wonders of Huahine, and drop anchor in the picture-perfect, over-the-water bungalow scenery of Bora Bora.
Experience a captivating mix of sailing conditions. Enjoy exhilarating open-ocean passages driven by steady trade winds and serene, calm-water cruising within the crystal-clear, protected lagoons—perfect for line-of-sight navigation.
Why sail the Society Islands of Tahiti with a Modern Sailing flotilla?
The Society Islands of French Polynesia are made up of spectacular islands that form an archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean that is in same time zone as Hawaii. It’s just a 9-hour journey out of San Francisco for you to discover and experience some of the most beautiful islands on earth.
Each island offers a unique flavor. Snorkel vibrant coral gardens teeming with marine life, kayak up the only navigable river in French Polynesia (on Raiatea), wander through fragrant vanilla plantations on Taha’a, or hike to ancient marae (temples) on the sacred island of Raiatea. Instead of being confined to a single resort, your modern catamaran provides a front-row seat to a continually changing paradise. Wake up to a new, breathtaking vista every day, from towering volcanic peaks to secluded motus (small islets) fringed with white sand.

Joining a Modern Sailing Flotilla offers the security and fun of a group, led by our professional captains. Whether you reserve a cabin and crew a captained yacht or skipper a bareboat, this adventure is an unparalleled opportunity to build international cruising experience in one of the world’s most sought-after destinations. Experience the sheer joy of helming or cruising aboard a state-of-the-art catamaran, complete with generator-powered air conditioning, an onboard water maker, and expansive outdoor living spaces. These vessels are designed for maximum comfort and an unforgettable sailing performance.
This flotilla offers only 8 cabins aboard 2 captained catamarans. Four bareboats will also be available.
