2025 Holiday Closures

Modern Sailing is open year-round, seven days per week - with a few special exceptions. To allow our hard-working staff to rest and enjoy celebrating the holiday season, our office and fleet operations are closed on the dates listed below.

CLOSED Thanksgiving Day and day after - Thursday, November 27 through Friday, November 28

OPEN Saturday, November 29 through Sunday, December 21

CLOSED Monday, December 22 through Thursday, January 1, 2025

OPEN Friday, January 2 through Wednesday, November 25

Regular office hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily.

The Full Moon Sail with Skipper Bob Gutsgell was Ah-Mayzing!! The group dynamic was lovely and the views spectacular. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Thanks so much for the wonderful Club Sails, they are really great.

Every aspect of Modern Sailing - training, syllabus, course materials, quality of the boats, quality of the instructors, and the very friendly and helpful staff - exceeded my expectations. Modern Sailing has a first class sailing program in an environment with challenging winds and currents. The class was terrific. I know you must get many compliments about your sailing instructors...But I must tell you that Robert is outstanding. Having taught SCUBA, I really appreciate the way he is so sensitive to all on board, dealing with each so well, knowing quickly their strengths and weaknesses making each feel special and cared for.

I love sailing in the San Francisco Bay and greatly appreciate everything that MSC has to offer, the classes, clinics, club sails, racing and charters. I enjoy our supportive sailing community and use every opportunity to spend time on the water. After obtaining the certifications from MSC I did my first charter in Croatia in 2022 with my family. It was amazing and we’re looking forward to returning soon!
