Kanaloa

Catamaran
Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40

Built for performance, style, and easy handling, Kanaloa is bluewater equipped and ready for bareboat charterers and MSC-hosted adventures. Her sleek design is optimal for socializing, swimming, and outside entertaining on the Bay. At the helm, sailors have described her handling as responsive and agile. Enjoy easy access to a traditional mainsail with a stackpack and a roller-furling, self-tacking jib.

Featuring lightweight all-infusion construction, the Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi can easily reach surfing speeds of 13 to 15 knots. The spacious saloon, sliding cockpit door, and aft-facing semi-circular galley contribute to the airy and innovative feel of life aboard. With 4 cabins, 2 heads, and a shower topside, Kanaloa comfortably accommodates eight on your next day sail or multi-day cruise.

I took ASA 101 with them recently. They have the best customer service I've ever seen! I mistyped my address when I signed up online so didn't receive the textbook. I called and the lady immediately sent me another copy! Everyone at the club is super friendly.

We just took our ASA 106 at a school in Rhode Island as we prepare for 6 months of cruising in the Caribbean. The class was great, but more than anything it made us really appreciate the quality of teaching and rigor at Modern Sailing. Even though we were the newest to sailing, the group seemed to think that we had the best fundamentals. We felt very well prepared and we see why Modern Sailing has the reputation it does.

Every aspect of Modern Sailing - training, syllabus, course materials, quality of the boats, quality of the instructors, and the very friendly and helpful staff - exceeded my expectations. Modern Sailing has a first class sailing program in an environment with challenging winds and currents. I look forward to coming back to charter a boat and certainly plan to continue my sailing training.

Here are some snaps of Our Saturday, August 20, 2022 Modern Sailing Expedition with Captain Robert Bivin, who was outstanding. Please convey photos and thanks to him. He is an outstanding individual, leader and sailing instructor. His knowledge and experience made us all feel safe and our Farallones Day Trip educational and just amazing.
