Caribbean Flotilla 2020 Highlights

In January, more than 20 Modern Sailing captains and crew gathered on Antigua to embark on a 10-day sailing adventure in paradise. Two skippered catamarans and three bareboat monohulls took to the Caribbean Sea together to sail among and discover the islands of Antigua, Barbuda, and Guadeloupe.

Our sailors captured hundreds of photographs and videos along the way and we've compiled a few of their favorite moments into a video. See some of the sights and experiences they enjoyed - exhilarating sailing, swims in refreshing turquoise waters, stunning vistas and anchorages, delicious dining, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, festive celebrations, the camaraderie of sailors, and the color, charm, and history of these unique islands.

It has been wonderful sailing with MSC over the years. Please extend my thanks to the owners, management, and staff for unrequited professionalism and high standards in a charter fleet. I have sailed with several in my years and none nearly hold a candle to the quality of business and staff at Modern Sailing.

The office staff was very accommodating in meeting my availability.

All of the courses and my instructors (JT and Stan) were extremely professional and full of knowledge and experience. I found I was able to learn from their experiences beyond the scope of the courses, and look forward to future opportunities to do so. I would highly recommend Modern Sailing to anyone.

The meeting room was quite adequate and the location most convenient, but the course outline and instruction were outstanding. Modern Sailing is fortunate to have such a well organized instructor in Mr. Stan Lander who teaches very well from a rich professional background. Mr. Lander was generous with his time and patiently in helping students who needed more attention or time in understanding various aspects of the curriculum.

Every aspect of Modern Sailing - training, syllabus, course materials, quality of the boats, quality of the instructors, and the very friendly and helpful staff - exceeded my expectations. Modern Sailing has a first class sailing program in an environment with challenging winds and currents. I look forward to coming back to charter a boat and certainly plan to continue my sailing training.
