Prepare to charter internationally on multihulls with this 5-day, 4-night combination course to receive your ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising and ASA 114, Cruising Catamaran certifications. Topics covered include planning and provisioning for multi-day trips, sailing and anchoring at night, docking and maneuvering under power, boat systems and troubleshooting. You will also receive introductions to chart navigation and electronic piloting.
The prerequisites for this course are completion of ASA 101, ASA 103, and at least 6 on-the-water days. These on-the-water days can be completed in various ways, either through chartering on your own, co-skippering with another Modern Sailing club member (up to two skippers per charter permitted), a 4-hour minimum private lesson with an instructor, or participation in a sailing skills clinic. Students with comparable experience also have the option to submit a sailing resume to waive this requirement.
