Location - We are located in beautiful Sausalito at the Marina Plaza Harbor, just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you leave the slip, you are moments away from some of the best sailing in the world! You are also moments away from some of the best anchorages and harbors: Ayala Cove at Angel Island, South Beach Harbor in San Francisco, China Camp in San Pablo Bay! Nothing beats sailing out of sunny Sausalito - this location is perfect for any adventure.

Fleet - Modern Sailing Academy has a diverse fleet of boats ranging from 30 - 53 feet. Each boat is professionally maintained and unique - offering a wide range of charter options to our members.

Parties and Events- The Modern Sailing Academy is not only a sailing club, but also a social club - and there is always something happing! Crew Lists - Our "Share-a-Sail" list is for those who are looking for crew and those looking to crew. This is a great place to post our name and help offset the cost of chartering.

Reciprocal Privileges - As a member of the Modern Sailing Academy, you receive reciprocal privileges with other sailing clubs up and down the west coast.

Cost - As one of the most affordable clubs on the bay, Modern Sailing Academy offers our members access to sailing without the ongoing costs of ownership. Members also receive discounted rates on bareboat charters - sometimes up to 40%.

* For students who successfully complete an ASA Certified Course with us, we reduce the initiation fee to $375.
